I am honored to have received the confidence of and trust of the people of our community. This election was a job interview and you, the voters, are the hiring committee. There is a lot of important work that needs to be done and I am looking forward to doing my share.
The role of any elected official is to act as a trustee at times and other times as delegate. In either scenario, I hope not to disappoint. To the people who voted for me, I hope to not let you down. And to the people who didn't vote for me, I hope to earn your confidence. I have my fiancee and my campaign team to thank for their countless hours holding signs, making phone calls, planning campaign strategy and other aspects involved in a campaign.
